Event 3 of the 2008 WSOP saw David Singer pick up his first WSOP bracelet. In the $1500 PLHE event he started the all American final table in 8th place. A couple of timely double ups and he was back into the thick of things.
It came down to David Singer and Jacobo Fernandez for the heads up action. Singer certainly had to work for his first bracelet, as heads up action went for over four hours. Singer was getting short and until he doubled up with A-K vs 55. The very next hand he hit a straight vs Hernadez’ 2 pair and he was the winner. He won $214 131 USD for taking out first place.
David Singer has been in great form recently, he has already made another cash in this year’s WSOP and also won the 25k Heads up Championship on Full Tilt.
Congratulations to David Singer for winning his first ever WSOP bracelet!
