Full Tilt Poker is one of the best poker rooms in online poker. Players are provided with an entertaining experience, with a large variety of tournaments, SNG’s and cash games made available. You can play with one of the many pros while you play there, and they play at all kinds of limits and buy-ins. Australia’s very own Mark Vos plays there and can be found in the higher limits of Omaha most times. The pros have their name written in red so there is never a problem with trying to find out what pros are online.

The software is very nice and is quite unique. The avatars are a nice feature and you can change your mood with the avatars as well. The software along with the huge amount of traffic there, makes for a good time to be had by all. Mix this with the large amount of fish that hang out there and you can be sure you won’t be disappointed.

The software that Full Tilt provide is top quality. It has all of the features that you would expect from a major poker room and much more. Full ring cash games have 9 players and the cash tables have everything you need. You can take notes, change your avatar and your mood and has nice buttons. They provide the standard check boxes like check/fold, but they have bet half pot and full pot buttons. This allows for the game to go along at a quicker speed because you don’t have to slide the bar across or type in your bet size. You will find that a lot of the bets are either full pot or half pot when you play on Full Tilt.

My favourite feature of the software at Full Tilt is the hand history. It shows a screenshot of the how the hand finished, along with what cards you had even if you weren’t in the hand. It also comes with text, which is standard in poker hand histories. The best part however, is that you can play the hand back in the hand history section. Simply click play, and you will be shown a re-enactment of the hand that you played. This is a very unique touch that Full Tilt has provided for its players.

One of the problems with the software is that it has a reputation for disconnecting a lot. Although you receive ample time to reconnect, it seems to disconnect a few times every session. Of course the rate varies from person to person, but it can get a little annoying when it keeps happening. The second problem is that the avatars are not unique for each person. If you aren’t using any tracking software, you will have to rely on remembering names, because there is a limited number of avatars to choose from.

Overall, the software is of the highest quality. It also provides unique features, and it does look more exciting than any other software available.

There are a number of quality promotions that run at Full Tilt. The biggest promotion that they run is FTOPS. The promotions in general, don’t offer anything new to the online poker world, but because of the large amount of players at Full Tilt there is always great value presented to their players. The Iron Man Challenge rewards players for their loyalty and frequent players can take advantage of the Freerolls and gift shop. The daily tournaments at Full Tilt, are close to the best in the industry, if not the best. The are constantly running $26 guaranteed tournaments, with a great chance to win some decent cash. The competition is soft, and it can be very profitable playing in these.

The Daily Fifty-Fifty, is a $55 buy-in, $50k Guaranteed event. The tournament starts at 7:30am AEST and first prize is always at least US$9.5k. This event with the other great guaranteed events in the morning makes for a great time to play poker at Full Tilt. It’s well worth getting up and playing some poker in the mornings.

The biggest weekly tournament at Full Tilt is the Sunday $750k Guaranteed. This is the 2nd largest weekly tournament in online poker and allows a massive return for your $216 if you get deep in the tourney. 1st place is guaranteed over $130k USD, which makes for a great pay day by anyone’s standards.

You will be quite impressed by the amount of tournaments available here, especially in peak times. Make sure you check out the tournaments that are available in the mornings for Australians because they offer great value and selection.

Full Tilt has the 2nd largest amount of traffic in online poker today. Only PokerStars has more traffic than them, and there are plenty of players around at all times of the day and night. On average, they have more than 5000 cash games players online at once, which gives you plenty of choice when it comes to table selection.

The traffic that Full Tilt provides is one of the main attractions. You can be sure that there will always be plenty of numbers in the tourneys, the SNGs fill quickly, and you will always be able to multi-table in cash games. Overall, the traffic makes Full Tilt one of the best rooms to play at online and sets it apart from a lot of the smaller poker sites.

Fish: 8.5/10

For such a large room, there is surprisingly not a great deal of sharks lurking around. You will of course find some, but for the amount of players it is relatively low. The players seem to be more aggressive than a lot of other rooms, which makes for a lot more action. There a large numbers of fish swimming around at the lower limits, and even still a fair amount at the middle limits. The high limits of course have better players, but compared to other poker rooms, they players are weaker. There isn’t any other better value on the internet in terms of potential pay out with quality of players. If you are chasing a big pay day, then look no further as there is great potential to earn loads of cash here.

Customer Support: 7/10

The customer support that you receive at full tilt is via email. It is a 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service. This is common among most rooms and they don’t have live chat which would be a bonus. The response time from Full Tilt in relation to my queries have been a little bit slower than most, and haven’t really provided me with exceptional service. I would say that the customer support here is about average, because they are dealing with a large volume of people. They are quite helpful, it is just they don’t go out of their way to be super helpful or respond in a very timely manner. Overall, its scores a 7 because it is around about average for the industry.
