The month of May has seen Full Tilt Poker run FTOPS for the 8th time. FTOPS VIII comprised of 24 events that were completed in a period of 11 days. Run from the 7th-18th May 2008, this FTOPS series saw over 10 million dollars given away in guaranteed prizes. The Main Event paid out a whopping 2.75 Million and the winner took home over 410k.
For those of you that don’t know, FTOPS is the Full Tilt Online Poker Series. It is a series of tournaments where huge payouts are guaranteed and there is a great opportunity to make a lot of cash. PokerStars has a similar program called WCOOP (World Championship Of Online Poker).
FTOPS VIII consisted of Hold ‘em, Omaha, Stud, Razz and HORSE events. The formats were either standard, Knockout, 6-max or shootouts. Full Tilt has done a great job catering to the needs of players from all avenues of Poker. Many satellites ran to gain entry to these events, and the players flooded to the tables to compete.
Overall, the series provided a great change to the monotony of everyday poker and Full Tilt should be applauded for providing a great event to its players.
