Starting at 4am AEST this PokerStars tourney is one for those who like to stay up late or get up early. I like the events with 1 rebuy and 1 add on because its played a lot like a regular tourney but with more prize money on offer. I played in this tourney last week and won $4077. It was not overly difficult, and the final 3 players i was against were especially soft.

There are normally about 450 entrants in this tourney and you will find that it won’t go for a very long period of time. You will start with 1500 chips unless you rebuy at the start and the blind structure is standard. These tourney structures at PokerStars are becoming more popular and I can fully understand why. Definitely well worth the look.

Poker Stars $55 – 50k Guaranteed

Poker Stars has the best morning tournament schedule in online poker today. One of the better tournaments available to players is the $55 buy-in, 50k Gtd. The tournament starts at 10:30am AEST which is not too early. The tournament usually has about 1100 entries and takes about 7 hours to complete. Not a bad pay day if you collect first prize which will give you over 10k on most occasions for first place.

You will receive 3000 starting chips at the start of the tournament. The blinds increase every 15 minutes and you will find the tourney progresses nicely. If you are up late at night and are looking for a tourney to play in, then this is a one of the best options. With 3000 starting chips and a nice blind structure, it is a solid tourney. It usually gets to over 25k in the prize pool and 1st place pays almost 5k. The competition seems to be slightly weaker than a lot of other tourneys on PokerStars.

With over 1300 entries, and the starting time of 2am EST, it can be a very late night/early morning finish if you go deep. Overall though if you work unusual hours, or happen to be up I think you will be presently surprised at the great value this tourney offers.
